Twilight Drive is a rock trio from upstate New York and the Capital Region’s premier ’90s-inspired rock group. Consisting of Bryan Mathys (guitar, vocals), John Prylo (bass, synthesizer, vocals), and Darryl Kniffen (drums, keyboard, vocals), the band seamlessly blends the spirit of classic ’90s rock with their own original sound. Drawing influence from bands such as Pearl Jam, Gin Blossoms, Smashing Pumpkins, Hootie & The Blowfish, Live, and Nirvana, Twilight Drive delivers energetic performances that resonate with fans of alternative and modern rock alike. In May 2023, the band released their debut album, Glorious Purpose, on Cwazy Widdle Wabbit Records. The album showcases melodic hooks, driving rhythms, textured layers, and emotionally charged lyrics, earning praise from Broken 8 Music, which called it “a bold, multi-faceted debut that proves rock is still very much alive.” Since 2022, Twilight Drive has become a staple of the upstate New York rock scene, performing regularly at venues throughout New York and New England.
